For
circuts with a small number of crossovers,
a jumper chip can be more economical than
printing a dielectric layer and crossover
conductor or using a thru-hole. Thick film
jumpers are available in five sizes, all
with wraparound terminations and glass passivation
on a portion of the top surface. The
CP chip type has platinum/silver
terminations for conductive epoxy bonding,
and the CPX type has pretinned
nickle barrier terminations for solder applications
.
