UNTRIMMED RESISTORS

State of the Art manufactures untrimmed thick film chip resistors for applications where the resistance value cannot be specified ahead of time. Unlike potentiometers these devices are immune to vibration and are very compact. Untrimmed resistors are typically furnished to within 10 or 20% of a standard resistance value. The parts can be trimmed using a laser or airbrasive trimmer to any desired resistance up to approximately double the initial value. All sizes listed in the standard thick film page are available in the untrimmed configuration.

SPACE LEVEL RESISTORS

SOTA's space level resistors are the most reliable resistors of this type available anyware in the world today. We are qualified to MIL-PRF-55342 for space level T in both thick and thin film product offerings. MULTI-TAP RESISTORS

These extremely compact .030 X .030 X .018" thin film on alumina or silicon resistors provide a wide choice of nominal values by bonding to the appropriate pad location. Resistance ranges are available to 150 Kohm. Termination pads are gold or aluminum for wire bond attachment. Two styles are available. Style MT1 has 12 total resistors (7@R1 and 5@R2 where R1 = 5xR2). Style MT2 has 20 total resistors (10@R1 and 10@R2 where R1 = 10xR2). Both device types are available in 5 % and 10% tolerances with TCR of 25, 50, or 100 PPM.

CUSTOM RESISTORS

SOTA can produce custom resistors for unique applications. Custom sizes, termination types, materials, solder finishes, marking, values, and tolerances are all available. Custom products have higher minimum lines, and they may have non-reoccurring engineering (NRE) charges. The cost of tooling a custom product in thick film is significantly less then tooling it in thin film. Please contact the factory with your special requirements.
